FOUNDATION FOR LUTHERAN CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES INDIANA INC

Lutheran Child & Family Services (LCFS) has served Indiana’s children, youth, and families in crisis for more than 140 years. Founded in 1883 as an orphanage, LCFS has grown into a comprehensive provider of residential care, housing, and community-based support.

LCFS operates the Lutherwood Residential Treatment Center, offering intensive therapeutic care for youth ages 7–18 who have experienced abuse, neglect, or trafficking. We also provide Emergency Shelter Care for adolescents ages 12–17 who need short-term housing and counseling. Our two non-secure group homes extend this continuum of care: Trinity House supports homeless youth ages 14–21 who are completing high school or job training, and Serenity House serves youth who have experienced or are at risk of human trafficking.

For young adults ages 18–24 who have aged out of foster care and are experiencing homelessness, LCFS offers Pando Aspen Grove, a permanent supportive housing community with 30 one-bedroom apartments designed to provide stability and long-term support.

In the community, LCFS operates INSPIRE, a program that helps families overcome barriers related to education, employment, mental health, and after-school support to break the cycle of poverty. The Sharing Place Food Pantry provides food and hygiene products to low-income families, seniors, and veterans. LCFS also delivers home-based services that advocate for families and connect them to essential resources to build stability.
