Organization Overview
Crates & Cartons Charity Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 33-5065312) located in Newnan, Georgia. We serve Newnan and the surrounding areas, providing essential support and resources to marginalized and undeserved populations, with a focus on homeless or at risk military veterans and their families. Our mission is to ensure that every person we serve has access to safe housing, nutritious food, supportive services, transportation, and pathways to stability and self-sufficiency.
Statement of Need
Homeless or at risk military veterans and their families, face unique challenges that increase their risk of homelessness, economic instability, and social isolation. Homeless or at risk military veterans and their families often require support to successfully reintegrate into civilian life, including training and employment opportunities, unemployment, and mental health challenges. Transportation barriers further limit access to essential services. These intersecting vulnerabilities highlight the urgent need for targeted programs that address both immediate material needs and long-term empowerment.

Project Goals and Objectives
Crates & Cartons seeks funding to implement a comprehensive support program designed to empower homeless or at risk military veterans and their families through the following objectives:

Programs & Events:

The Haunted Forest Fundraiser – October: A family-friendly Halloween experience running throughout the month of October, powered by volunteers—including veterans and community members. Proceeds support our holiday programs, winter food drives, and warm clothing initiatives.

Home for the Holidays – November 1st through Thanksgiving: Throughout November, we raise funds and accept donations to provide homeless veterans with flights, hotel stays, Warm clothing, toiletries, and gift baskets for Thanksgiving so they can spend the holiday with their families with dignity. The gift basket allows them to feel like they are contributing to the meal. Flights depart on November 26th with a two-night hotel stay, returning November 29th. Each veteran goes home with clean clothes and essentials.

Winter Wonderland & Fundraising – December 1st–22nd: A festive community event supporting our “Cozy for Christmas” campaign. We accept donations of food, warm clothing, and funds help provide holiday support for members of our homeless community. *Any food donated and not used for our events is given to local shelters to help their ongoing efforts.

Cozy for Christmas Campaign – December 24th–26th: Each year, we hope to provide members of our homeless community with a safe, warm hotel stay on Christmas Eve, complete with a festive dinner. On Christmas morning, guests enjoy breakfast, open gifts provided by us—including a warm set of clothes, a jacket, toiletries, and a gift card—and, when available, gifts from family members. They can also video chat with loved ones, experiencing the holidays with dignity, love, and respect.

Every donation, volunteer hour, and in-kind contribution directly supports programs that provide food, clothing, holiday gifts, and moments of joy for those who would otherwise go without. Our work is made possible entirely through the generosity of donors, local businesses, and volunteers.
