Navy Veteran is seeking assistance with the appeal of a previously denied SSI claim. Veteran is a military sexual trauma survivor and has numerous mental and physical disabilities which impact her ability to work. Veteran has experienced extreme hardships since her discharge and needs assistance with securing the benefits she qualifies for. She is currently unhoused and uninsured but working very hard to pull herself out of her current situation. SALSA is looking for a pro bono volunteer attorney with a background in SSI claims to represent the Veteran in a SSI appeal.
