Birmingham Green has a 97-year history of providing compassionate care to seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. Our CNA training program is unique in that it offers free education, clinical experience and certification to participants, many of whom come from minority or immigrant backgrounds. This program serves as a critical bridge between workforce development and improved healthcare quality. With a 90% graduation rate and a 95% job placement rate, our program equips participants with the skills and experience necessary for immediate employment in a high-demand field. The starting salary for CNAs is approximately $50,000 per year. And our students incur no debt – they don’t even have to pay for their books!
As a testament to the strength of our program, Birmingham Green often hires many of our graduates. This provides graduates a seamless transition from training to employment while also addressing the ongoing CNA shortage and providing our senior residents with high-quality care. Our long-term vision is to become a “feeder pipeline” source for qualified CNAs to other health care organizations throughout our area.
