DELAWARE CENTER FOR HOMELESS VETERANS INC

The Delaware Center for Homeless Veterans, Inc., (DCHV) is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit. DCHV is the only Veterans-specific nonprofit in Northern Delaware and the only Veterans-specific nonprofit in Delaware utilizing the Housing First Model. Our Mission is to provide safe and affordable permanent housing coupled with supportive services to homeless Veterans, men, women, and their families to assist in improving their lives, develop greater economic self-sufficiency, better the quality of services provided by other agencies and help strengthen the community.

The Delaware Center for Homeless Veterans, Inc (DCHV) is requesting this grant to strengthen our mission of ending veteran homelessness in Delaware through comprehensive housing, employment, and supportive services. Since 2012, DCHV has operated the CERS (Contract Emergency Residential Services) program, providing safe shelter and stabilization services to veterans in crisis. From 2012 through 2025, DCHV has served 527 veterans through CERS, 346 veterans through our SSVF program, and 288 female veterans through our GPD program. Our goal is to restore dignity, stability, and self-sufficiency for every veteran we assist.
