At BRIDGEGOOD, we believe that creativity drives growth and economic success. Our mission is to break barriers and create pathways for under-resourced students and job seekers of color by providing critical access to professional opportunities and tech literacy. With a focus on equity and inclusion, we empower diverse individuals to thrive in the tech and design industries, transforming their potential into lasting economic and community impact. We specialize in equipping job seekers, particularly those aged 18 and older, with the skills needed to excel in today’s innovation-driven economy. Our programs are designed to uplift women of color—especially those identifying as Black, Latino/a/x, Southeast Asian, and Pacific Islander—as well as immigrants, DACA recipients, LGBTQIA+ individuals, people with disabilities, international students, military families, and veterans. By fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment, we celebrate the unique perspectives and lived experiences of every participant, ensuring their voices are amplified and valued. Our vision is to cultivate empathetic design leaders capable of creating global change. Through mentorship, skill-building, and industry-aligned training, BRIDGEGOOD bridges the gap between underrepresented communities and the thriving tech sector. We prepare learners for meaningful careers by offering expertise in cutting-edge areas, including: User Experience (UX) Design: Mastering how people interact with products and services. User Interface (UI) Design: Creating visually engaging and accessible interfaces. Product Design: Developing innovative solutions from concept to execution. Visual & Business Design: Blending creative strategies with market insights. Design Thinking Methodology: Encouraging human-centered approaches to problem-solving. Tech & Digital Literacy: Building foundational skills for the digital economy. Career Development: Offering mentorship, networking, and job readiness training. Movement Building: Empowering participants to drive social change through design. Virtual Reality (VR) & Augmented Reality (AR): Exploring immersive technologies for transformative experiences. Accessibility Design: Creating inclusive solutions that serve all users. Artificial Intelligence (AI): Equipping learners with the knowledge to innovate in AI-driven industries. BRIDGEGOOD, formerly known as Oakland Digital Arts and Literacy Center Inc., is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preparing job seekers—primarily women of color—for successful careers in the digital design field.
