Destin Harvest's mission is to bridge the gap between food surplus and local hunger

Since 2007, food rescue and hunger relief in Okaloosa and Walton County has been the heart of Destin Harvest’s operation. DH bridges the gap between food surplus and local hunger by securing daily food overages in bulk from local grocery stores and distributing everything the same day in refrigerated trucks to local feeding programs. These recipient agencies collectively feed thousands of hardworking families, children, retired veterans, and the elderly every week in Northwest Florida.

Types of Feeding Programs

DH’s refrigerated box trucks secure roughly 4,000 – 6,000 pounds of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy items, breads, cakes, drinks, frozen foods, and non-perishables daily.
