Core Competencies
- Community Engagement: We excel in engaging diverse stakeholders, fostering collaboration, and empowering communities to address local challenges effectively.
-Providing mobile services to underserved communities to attend either our college , adult day care, or our mental health services facility or any of our services.
- Entrepreneurship Support: Through our Micro Business Center programs, we provide training, resources, and mentorship to aspiring entrepreneurs, especially those who are from low-income communities or marginalized communities, contributing to economic vitality and job creation.
- Sustainability Initiatives: We advocate for environmental stewardship and sustainability, promoting the development of green spaces and implementing resilience strategies to enhance community well-being.
- Disaster Resilience: Our experience managing a Red Cross Emergency Shelby gives us expertise in disaster resilience and mitigation equips communities with the tools and strategies needed to withstand and recover from environmental challenges.

Past Achievements
- SBA CNPP Program: Managed outreach for over 1,100 business owners, recognized by the U.S. Senate for excellence in entrepreneurship support.
- Green Space Development: Collaborated on initiatives to promote sustainable urban development and environmental conservation.
-Created and is servcing the first Homeless Food Truck in the state of Tennessee
- Micro Business Center: Empowered numerous entrepreneurs, including women veterans, through tailored business training and support programs.
- Trained unemployed individuals as Certfied Nursing Assistants to be able to earl livable wages

At Daughters of Zion, we are committed to delivering high-quality, impactful solutions that meet the unique needs of each community we serve. Our team comprises dedicated professionals with extensive experience in community development, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and disaster resilience.

Daughters of Zion has a history of professionally and successfully managing diverse populations, ranging from the mentally challenged, English language learners, at-risk students and adults, to the most fragile senior citizen population. Through its many other programs and initiatives Daughters of Zion provides services such as job coaching, employment assistance for the disadvantaged, post secondary education training, and business coaching for entrepreneurs among others. Recognizing the need for higher learning opportunities for women and men, Daughters of Zion established William and Johnson Career College (WJCC) in 2008 and was approved as an institution of higher learning by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC) in 2010. Since then, WJCC has been providing career training in a 91-hour Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program and a Bachelors of Applied Arts degree in Business Administration.
