Support Families & Pets Impacted by the Spokane Wildfires

The Pacific Northwest is facing its worst wildfire season in 30 years. On August 1st, a series of fires broke out throughout Spokane County, Washington. To date, these fast-moving fires have burned over 8,000 acres combined, and approximately 65,000 people have been forced to evacuate as more than 700 structures have been destroyed. Families are at risk of losing their homes, businesses, and livelihoods. Local animal shelters are struggling to keep up with a surge of displaced pets. The entire community is battling heavy smoke and hazardous air quality.

Three blazes remain active with 0% containment: the Old Trails Fire, the Autumn Lane Fire, and the Fairview Fire.

Greater Good Charities is mobilizing emergency aid to support impacted families and pets, coordinating with partners on the ground to meet urgent needs for supplies as these fires continue to spread and conditions rapidly change.
