2 Girls 1 Camp is a participatory art project and theme camp rooted in the principles of community, interactivity, and irreverent joy. Our work centers around creating immersive visual and theatrical experiences that spark connection, curiosity, and gut-busting laughter.
At our core, we are visual artists working in large-scale design, scenography, and playful branding—constructing a vibrant, highly-themed environment on the Black Rock Desert. Our camp features custom-built structures, whimsical signage, and sculptural installations that transform the landscape into an absurdist desert oasis.
We also work in performance and interactive theatre: our signature gifts include daily slushies served with flair and sass, and over-the-top events like consensual coconut oil wrestling—blurring the lines between spectacle, sport, and satire. These activations are designed to invite radical self-expression, bodily autonomy, and a cheeky exploration of power and play.
Currently, we are producing our first official camp for Burning Man 2025, with plans to grow the experience annually. Future phases include expanding our installation work and collaborating with other artists on interdisciplinary performance and sculpture.
2 Girls 1 Camp aims to bring bold, inclusive, and hilarious art into spaces that might otherwise take themselves too seriously. With fiscal sponsorship, we’ll be able to support underrepresented artists in attending the event, secure essential infrastructure, and offer our work freely as a gift to the public.
