The Co-Conspirators are a new producing collective founded by Melanie Godsey, Kelly Karcher, and Kyna Shilling. We are Seattle-based theatre artists with a set of skills spanning the artistic to the administrative to the technical. We are capable and driven creatives, who are seeking to provide for ourselves and others the challenging, enriching, and artistically rigorous work that is hard to find in an industry that still undervalues women and their stories. We seek to produce femme-forward theatre that showcases and compensates the many talented but under-utilized artists in our community, in particular female and gender non-conforming artists over the age of 30, through developmental workshops, public readings and world premieres of new plays. In the past four years, we have produced three readings, a developmental workshop, and a world premiere production of two scripts by a local playwright. Our 2025 plans include a movement workshop with a public showcase (co-produced with Lucky Panda Presents), a theatrical premiere of a new play, and a production in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
