YOUNG ADULT MENTAL HEALTH ALLIANCE - YAMHA

The Young Adult Mental Health Alliance (YAMHA) is a nonprofit organization founded by Joyce Grafton, a retired special education teacher and former paralegal. YAMHA is dedicated to improving the mental health and overall well-being of individuals ages 16 to 30 and their families. Based in South Carolina, YAMHA offers a holistic approach to personal development, combining mental health support, life coaching, mentorship, and educational services.

YAMHA’s signature program, Designing Our Lives for a Better Way to Be, focuses on four key areas: mental health, relationships, career development, and financial empowerment. The organization also hosts retreats, tutoring services, and long-term mentorship, with a seven-year commitment to participant growth.

YAMHA partners with organizations such as NAMI, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), and the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce to expand its impact across vulnerable communities.
