RESET INC's Hampton Roads Community Food Security & Resilience Initiative is designed to combat food insecurity, improve access to nutritious food, and strengthen community resilience among underserved individuals and families throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia.
Through our 24/7 walk-up food pantry, weekly food distributions, and community meal programs, RESET INC provides essential food assistance to low-income families, working households, seniors, veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, and residents facing economic hardship.
With a requested investment of $25,000 from TC Energy, RESET INC will purchase approximately 25,000 pounds of nutritious food, including fresh produce, meats, proteins, dairy products, and shelf-stable groceries. Funding will also support the purchase of ingredients for prepared meals distributed to vulnerable community members.
Over the 12-month project period, this initiative aims to impact at least 5,000 individuals, reduce barriers to accessing nutritious food, and provide consistent assistance to households struggling with rising living expenses.
The project will leverage RESET INC's established community partnerships, volunteer network, and existing food distribution infrastructure to maximize the impact of every dollar invested.
By addressing immediate hunger while strengthening community support systems, this initiative directly aligns with TC Energy's Resilient Communities focus area.
Together, we are building healthier, stronger, and more resilient communities—one family at a time.
