Exceptional Families of the Military (EFM) aims to alleviate financial burdens for military families with special needs through the "Exceptional.Food.Medical.Parking (EFMP) grant from EFM" program. This initiative provides funds for hospital parking, food for families on the day of medical appointments or for inpatient caretakers, and potentially assistance with fuel costs.
Mission and Vision:
*Mission: Empower and support military families with special needs by addressing financial barriers associated with hospital visits.
*Vision: Create lasting improvements in the lives of EFMP families through financial assistance during medical appointments.
Objectives:
*Financial Assistance:
**Provide funds or vouchers for hospital parking fees.
**Provide funds or food vouchers to cover the cost of food for inpatient caretakers or meals during all-day appointments.
Grant Amount:
*Grants are set at $30 per request for daily appointments
Administrative/Operating Costs:
*EFM will Allocate 10% of all donations/grant funds to administrative costs.
Target Audience:
*Military families from all branches of the service that are registered as members of Exceptional Families of the Military and are enrolled in EFMP, or would be enrolled if they were on active duty (examples: Reservists, Guard, Retiree).
Market Analysis:
*EFM has identified challenges faced by EFMP families, including hefty hospital parking fees. The program aims to fill the gap in financial assistance for these families.
