Programing at Dallas Art Therapy
Veteran's Art Therapy Group
FREE Individual Art Therapy Services Available
This unique program is designed to provide a safe and nurturing space for veterans to explore their emotions, express themselves, and find solace through the transformative power of art.
We understand the profound impact that trauma can have on veterans' lives, and we recognize the need for specialized support tailored to their unique experiences. Art therapy is offered completely free to attend, ensuring that cost is not a barrier for those seeking healing and support.
Led by experienced and compassionate Masters level art therapists (ATR, ATR-BC and ATR-P) who have expertise in trauma processing, our group offers a comprehensive approach to healing.
Whether you have prior art experience or not, this is a place where creativity thrives and art becomes a powerful tool for expression. Our art therapists provide individualized guidance and support, helping veterans tap into their inner strengths and process their trauma through various artistic mediums.
Dallas Art Therapy invites veterans to reclaim their narratives, find catharsis, and foster resilience through art therapy. Together, we can honor your service by supporting your well-being and helping you navigate the path towards a brighter future.
SOS: Sarah’s Open Studio adults 18+
Sarah’s Open Studio honors the legacy of board member Carolyn Apocada’s daughter who had a heartfelt desire to share her art and her story if it would help others who suffer find relief. Sarah’s Open Studio calls out to those in our community who need support. The studio experience begins with formulating and writing an intention and moves right into art making.
TEEN ART CLUB ages 13-17
Teen Art Club is a safe space for making art with peers, learning new techniques with local artists who volunteer their time to teach a technique and share about their artwork. The group is facilitated by a licensed therapist or a volunteer but is social rather than therapy.
