Support Needed to Empower Entrepreneurs in Starting Non-Profit Organizations

MDLAYAFS Inc. is a dedicated organization committed to helping aspiring entrepreneurs establish and operate their own non-profit organizations. Our mission is to empower 48 entrepreneurs across the NYC five boroughs by guiding them through the complex process of non-profit registration and operation.

Through our program, participants will receive hands-on education on essential steps such as:

Applying for their Non-Profit EIN.

Completing the PAY.GOV registration for the 1023-EZ form.

Preparing their NYS Incorporation application, ensuring name alignment and compliance.

Obtaining their NYS tax exemption and city charities registration.

Learning how to complete the 990EZ annual filing forms.

One of the biggest challenges these entrepreneurs face is the cost of registration, which amounts to approximately $600 per organization. Our initiative seeks to support four entrepreneurs per month, equating to a total cost of $2,400.00 monthly or $28,800.00 annually. By covering these costs, we can help establish 48 new non-profits in underprivileged communities, providing them with tools and resources to give back and make a lasting impact and a great resource to their communities.
