HOMEWARD BOUND OF MARIN

Homeward Bound of Marin, founded in 1974, operates 18 residential programs ranging from emergency shelter to long-term supportive housing. These programs serve families, veterans, seniors and adults seeking to build resilience and open new futures. Services include counseling, nourishing meals, job training and referrals to community resources.

Homeward Bound also offers a free job-training program at Fresh Starts Culinary Academy, offering hands-on instruction in core techniques for homeless and low-income adults. After graduation, trainees may rotate to transitional employment in the Homeward Bound kitchens to continue building their skills. Homeward Bound also offers supportive employment in its mission-based businesses: Wagster Treats dog biscuits, The Key Room event venues and production of meals for shelter and housing programs.
