The dancers audition to become members of the company and have passed a carefully detailed evaluation of technique, musicality, talent, memory, and quickness of mind to be able to grasp the step combinations and choreography.
Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida performs a full season annually in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties, as well as internationally. With style based on the Vaganova technique, the company’s repertoire includes works by such Classical Ballet Masters as Petipa, Fokine, Lavrosky and Bournonville, and works by Artistic Director Vladimir Issaev. Contemporary guest choreographers include Edgar Anido, Yanis Pikieris, Josee Garant, Alberto Mendez, Miao Zong and late choreographer Vicente Nebrada.

INTERNATIONAL DANCE FESTIVAL AND GALAS:
We have performed in the International Ballet Festival in Poznan and Warsaw, Poland; International Young Dancers Festival Lima, Peru; Odense and Copenhagen, Denmark; Luxembourg, Relinghen, Germany; Jakarta and Surabaya, Indonesia; Guadalajara and Queretaro, Mexico, Japan and Malaysia.
We have also performed at the Miami Dance Sampler Festival from 2013 to 2019, the Miami International Festival in 2018 and 2019, and the International Ballet Festival in Havana, Cuba, in 2016 and 2018.
EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH PROGRAMS:
Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida has several outreach programs that bring the arts to our diverse community in South Florida:
Dancing with Disabilities promotes and offers dance instruction and performance opportunities for persons with disabilities.
Arts Ballet Goes to School gives a new approach to ballet for children K-12 in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. This program benefits more than 6,400 students every year.
Classical Ballet Seminar of Russian Technique attracts national and international students every summer since 1997. This program has benefitted more than 3,400 students since its inception.
COLLABORATIONS:
Our company collaborates with many companies such as Dance Now! Ensemble, The Opera Atelier, Kameristika Chamber Orchestra, UNICEF USA (Dance for Peace), Gulfshore Ballet, Pridelines (an LGBTQ organization), US Veterans, and Special Olympics among many others.

We have received many awards for our work in the arts, notably:
2018 Diversity and Inclusion Award by the Division of Cultural Affairs and the Citizens for Florida Arts, Inc for its efforts and achievements in South Florida.

Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida has appeared in,
NPR's Sundial regarding our scholarship program and the Venezuelan displaced children under our care.
"Real America with Jorge Ramos" of Univision and on Facebook Watch featuring our Artistic Director Vladimir Issaev and Venezuelan dancer Lusian Hernandez.
The company will also be appearing on CNN 's TV show "United Shades of America: with Kamau Bell” sometime in 2020. It features our scholarship program and the Venezuelan displaced children under our care.
In December of 2019, the company and its educational programs were featured in more than 200 newspapers in US only and 34 internationally. Including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Miami Herald, among them.
