Making the World Better One Community and One Child at a Time. The Kiwanis Club is a Non-Profit working to better the world through Our Reading is FUN programs with 7 Different Elementary Schools in Escambia County Florida.
The Kiwanis Club of Big Lagoon Coordinates the Annual Wreaths Across America Annual Event of Honoring Veterans and their Families by Placing Veteran's Wreaths on the Graves at Barrancas National Cemetery each December. Funds raised are spent on Books for Reading is Fun and for 100 Accelerated readers for 14 elementary school libraries. We also sponsor 2 or more Take Stock in Children college scholarships every year.
