Leadership Empowerment Access Program
por NATIONAL MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION OF GEORGIA INCThe Leadership Empowerment and Access Program (LEAP) is a pilot model designed through Mental Health America of Georgia’s Youth Programs. This program provides peer development to support young people, 16-26- at risk of behavioral health challenges or managed behavioral health conditions prepare for employment opportunities in various workforce industries. LEAP will support participants by providing tools and skills to gain self-empowerment, personal growth, and life-skills on their journey to achieve or maintain either full-time employment or entrance into a post-secondary education opportunity. Participants will engage in the program for up to 6 months and will be assigned an Advisor that will work with them to develop an Individualized Life Plan (ILP) and see to the participants gaining appropriate skills and knowledge by coordinating workshops, activities, and other meaningful opportunities that matches their goals.
