Food collected is brought back to Nourish Now's facility where the food is inventoried and re-packaged into individual meals for those we serve. On a monthly basis, Nourish Now redistributes food to more than 20,000 people in need and nonprofit organizations that, in turn, deliver it to the clients they serve. Nourish Now has been able to save area nonprofit agencies hundreds of thousands of dollars by not having to purchase as much food. In addition to the cost savings, our food donations provide partner agencies an expanded opportunity to donate perishable foods in which many of these agencies unfortunately may not have the resources to do so. We donate to various groups including public and private schools, at-risk youth programs, food pantries, senior group homes, veteran group homes, religious institutions, and other various types of nonprofits throughout the area.

Through our S.N.A.C.K. Program, we donate nutritious healthy snacks to at-risk students who may face hunger on any given day during the beginning of school and during afterschool. If children do not eat properly when in school their concentration suffers measurably. Parents, teachers and school counselors have provide feedback to Nourish Now that their children/students grades have improved significantly because of our S.N.A.C.K. Program. We donate to an average of four thousands students at ten schools during the school year weekly and this program continues over the summer through donating to free camps that need help with distributing food and beverages to campers due to funding contrasts.

We are proud to have moved to a new location in Jukly 2022 that provides us with additional space to help serve a greater number of people who suffer from food insecurity. The creation of the Nourish Now Food Recovery Center was made possible through the generosity of the state of Maryland who awarded Nourish Now with a capital bond grant.
