Fund a Free Standing Watch Gatekeeper Training

Standing Watch is The Veterans Phalanx’s community-based suicide prevention initiative. Through practical, 40–60 minute gatekeeper trainings, we equip veterans, families, employers, nonprofit organizations, civic groups, and community members to recognize warning signs, respond with confidence, and connect veterans with qualified support.

Each training has an estimated fair-market value of $500. Donations to this project underwrite that cost so The Veterans Phalanx can continue offering the training at no charge to participating organizations and community members.

Funding supports trainer preparation, educational materials, outreach, travel within our service area, program coordination, and follow-up resources. A $500 contribution funds one complete training session, while gifts of any size help make additional trainings possible.

Standing Watch does not provide emergency, clinical, or crisis-response services. Instead, it strengthens the community around veterans by helping ordinary people understand what to notice, what to say, and where to connect someone for professional help.

The program currently serves communities throughout southeast Georgia and northeast Florida, with an emphasis on reaching veterans and organizations that may have limited access to practical suicide prevention education.
