Midwest Brain Injury Clubhouse (MBIC) is a Chicago-based nonprofit that provides structured adult day services and community-based support for seniors, veterans, and adults living with cognitive, neurological, and other challenges that affect daily independence.
For more than 25 years, MBIC has helped individuals strengthen life skills, maintain community connections, access nutritious meals, and navigate complex health and social service systems. Through a supportive clubhouse model, members participate in meaningful daily activities that promote confidence, stability, and personal growth.
Our programs serve individuals impacted by brain injury, stroke, aging-related cognitive changes, chronic health conditions, mental health challenges, and other circumstances that can create barriers to independence and community participation.
MBIC provides:
• Structured adult day programming
• Life skills development and cognitive support
• Food access and nutrition assistance
• Community integration and social engagement
• Resource navigation and case management support
• Wellness, educational, and therapeutic activities
Many of the individuals we serve live on fixed or limited incomes and rely on MBIC as a consistent source of support, connection, and opportunity.
Donor support and volunteer engagement help sustain daily programming, community meals, and essential services that ensure individuals are supported, empowered, and never forced to navigate life's challenges alone.
