Patient oriented outreach began in 2013 and consists of providing free informational resources, educational sessions and recognition awards.
The lack of patient oriented informational resources on wounds, healing and scars has prompted the Wound Healing Foundation to develop free web based information, educational sessions and other resources for patients, their families and caregivers. The Foundation is currently developing these to be free and downloadable.
The Foundation is also developing free web based information, educational sessions and other resources for non-wound care clinicians. Virtual educational sessions for clinicians in developing countries are also being created.
The WHF is also attempting to provide wound, scar and skin care products and education to non-profit clinics that do wound care in urban and rural areas. To help us develop and improve education on wound healing through information and communication resources, please donate today.
