SUNSHINE GROUP OF ERIE

Each year, working with over 65 social service agencies, we distributed over 10,000 "Sunshine Boxes" to homeless shelters, hospitals, nursing homes, food pantries, veterans centers, individuals and families in need. We are 100% non profit and depend totally on the Community around us. We are completely staffed by volunteers and do not have a single paid employee. Our Sunshine Box packages are assembled according to individual needs. They may include knit or crochet handmade hats, mittens, gloves, scarves, slippers, toys, games, handmade dolls and stuffed animals, craft items, pillows, blankets, lap robes, wheelchair cushions and tote bags, walker totes, neck pillows and misc. household items for babies, school age kids, teens and adults. For over 40 years through monetary donations, volunteer commitment hours and thousands of donated items we are able to continue to carry out our mission.
