All too often, hidden brain injuries drive a Veteran to take their own life to end the agony.
In fact, Operation Deep Dive, a 2022 America’s Warrior Partnership and Duke University study recently identified that 44 military Veterans die each day from suicide, a number that is 2.4 times higher that what the VA reports as the national suicide rate.
Recognizing this critical issue, 2019 House Bill 50, "AN ACT AUTHORIZING CERTAIN MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS TO PRESCRIBE HYPERBARIC OXYGEN THERAPY FOR VETERANS WITH TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY AND POSTTRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER" was established.
HBOT 4 HEROES is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. We have witnessed great success using HBOT to reduce the symptoms of TBI & PTSD in our Veterans, active military and first responders. Through private donations, corporate sponsorships, and limited funding from the State of North Carolina, the HBOT clinic, Extivita -RTP, is treating our nation's heroes at no cost and seeing incredible success with a 58% efficacy rate in the resolution of suicidal ideations!
