The Fullmer Legacy Foundation serves more than 300 youth and community members annually through free programs focused on mentorship, education, and physical wellness. Youth retention exceeds 90%, with participants attending three to four sessions per week. After retiring from professional boxing, the Fullmer Brothers dedicated their lives to giving back to their community through amateur boxing. Known as the “Fighting Fullmers,” they mentored thousands of youth across Utah, creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment where young people could build discipline, confidence, and resilience at no cost to participants.
That legacy lives on through the Fullmer Legacy Foundation, which has evolved into a comprehensive community-based organization delivering integrated programs that support the whole person.
At the center of this work is the Fullmer Legacy Center in South Jordan, Utah, a dedicated space where youth and families access high-quality programming in a safe and inclusive environment. While amateur boxing remains a cornerstone, the Foundation has expanded to meet broader community needs through a range of innovative programs and partnerships.
Fullmer Boxing continues to provide structured training, mentorship, and competitive opportunities, including participation in regional and national tournaments through its partnership with Rocky Mountain Golden Gloves. These events bring together athletes from across the region and collectively impact more than 1,700 youth. In recognition of its decades of leadership, USA Boxing awarded Fullmer Boxing a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018.
Beyond the ring, the Foundation has expanded its impact through the Fullmer Legacy Academy, which provides academic support, life-skills development, and mentorship to help youth succeed in school and beyond. The Foundation also leads Peddling for Parkinson’s, an evidence-informed cycling program designed to improve quality of life for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease. Fullmer TUFF extends access to non-contact boxing and fitness programming for community members of all ages and abilities.
Through strategic partnerships with local schools, nonprofits, and community organizations, the Foundation continues to expand access and deepen its reach across South and West Jordan, Utah, where poverty rates range from approximately 7% to 13% (U.S. Census Bureau estimates). Programs are designed to remove barriers and provide consistent, supportive pathways for youth development.
Participants range in age from 8 to older adults, with a strong focus on youth ages 8 to 25. Many come from historically underserved communities, and youth programs are offered at no cost or low cost to ensure access.
Across all programs, the Foundation is committed to building resilience, confidence, discipline, and a sense of belonging. Every individual who walks through the doors of the Fullmer Legacy Center is met with structure, support, and opportunity.
Rooted in legacy and driven by community, the Fullmer Legacy Foundation continues to grow as a hub for youth/adult development, wellness, and connection.
