At Operation Barnabas we firmly believe in the philosophy of offering veterans a hand up and not a hand out. This philosophy is based off the Biblical principles found in 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12, which states “…make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.” Rather than offering veterans a temporary solution, we equip them with the skills, mindset, and confidence to not just escape their current situation but to continue living a stable and successful life–to thrive, not just survive.
