Boots to Suits is a complimentary provider of business/interview apparel to transitioning/separated men and women military Veterans of any age. The Richmond-based Virginia Transitioning Assistance Program assists our program to ensure that each applicant qualifies as a Veteran. Located in Richmond, Virginia, we provide in-person outfitting/styling by local professional tailors and stylish volunteers many of whom have a military background. We serve both men and women and in the event we have a wounded warrior who is no longer the breadwinner of the family, we will provide apparel to the spouse that is seeking employment. Operating for 10 years (originated in 2014), we have proudly provided apparel for more than 6000 Veterans. Our men and women come from every Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina military base. By way of the Star Program at McGuires Hospital, Special Forces come from as far as Destin, Florida. We operate on funding provided by generous individual donors, corporate donations, community grants, and golf events. These funds allow us to purchase new apparel for our program. We are fortunate also to receive beautiful, gently used business/interview apparel and accessories for both men and women. We are a 501-c3 corporation with all donations being tax deductible.
