COMMUNITY COUNCIL OF GREATER DALLAS

Since its establishment in 1943, the Community Council of Greater Dallas has been instrumental in identifying community needs, assessing optimal service delivery methods to address social issues, and mobilizing action plans in collaboration with our member agencies and public sector resources.
The Community Council’s research and action plans resulted in the incubation and birth of new social services including:

Over the years, our role has evolved from being a facilitator and convener to a direct service provider. Today, we extend our assistance and services to thousands of individuals annually. Despite our evolution as an organization, our core mission remains unchanged. We are committed to lending a helping hand to those in our community who need it the most.
Whether it's facilitating job training for a living wage, ensuring housing and transportation for a cancer patient, aiding an elderly individual to maintain safety and independence at home, conducting self-management classes for individuals with chronic diseases, assisting eligible pregnant women and children with CHIP and Medicaid applications, or connecting a veteran to services, the Community Council is dedicated to making Dallas a more inclusive and supportive place to live and work for all.
