America’s Warrior Partnership (AWP) was founded in 2014 after having a tremendous success in significantly decreasing veteran homelessness at a community level through the use of collaborative strategies. Our focus on helping community organizations bolster efficacy, improve results, and empower local veterans was recognized nationally and funded by the Wounded Warrior Project to replicate across the country. Since then, America’s Warrior Partnership has worked to build communities across the country through the Community Integration model. AWP has a comprehensive range of core programs to fulfill our mission.
Community Integration (CI) is a holistic veteran-focused, community-led initiative to proactively connect with all veterans, family members, and caregivers. It ensures access to the resources and available opportunities in collaboration with local communities. We aim to cultivate integrated, resilient, and prosperous veteran communities across the country by improving veteran quality of life, thus ending veteran suicide.
WarriorServe®, a Salesforce information platform, is AWP's proprietary technology solution that helps veteran serving organizations streamline veteran data collection and coordinate services between partner organizations. WarriorServe® is a reliable, cost-effective, and secure application that streamlines the collection and analysis of critical warrior information, allowing communities to focus on providing holistic warrior care.
The Warrior Community Integration Symposium is an industry-leading event that empowers those who serve veterans by fostering collaboration and enhancing service to veterans and their families in communities across America. Hundreds of veteran-serving professionals gather to share best practices, hear from inspiring and influential speakers, and learn about resources available from exhibitors and attendees in order to empower the veterans and their families in their care.
The AWP Network was created in 2018 based on a need identified through our CI program. The AWP Network is a national coordination platform, powered by WarriorServe®, that expands the reach of local organizations by connecting them to national resources. When regional resources either do not exist or have been exhausted, a local veteran-serving organization can consult the AWP Network for a streamlined process to find vetted, quality national partners to collaborate with.
Operation Deep Dive™ is a first-of-its-kind research collaboration that is examining the factors and potential causes involved in suicides and self-harm among former service members and focuses on identifying what we do not already know about suicide and self-harm among our former service members, particularly the impact of community environments, a public health approach. The ultimate goal is to develop an upstream approach that communities can use to identify their at-risk populations and prevent additional premature deaths.
AWP’s Corporate Veteran Initiative (CVI) provides insight, guidance and training for businesses to develop or improve workplace solutions that support a veteran-friendly culture and enable veterans to thrive in their careers and become valuable assets to employers.
CVI assists military-connected employees all over the United States by connecting them to resources to improve their quality of life. Whether employees are seeking to know more about their military benefits, participate in community events, or connect with fellow veteran employees, CVI continues to empower employers to support their veteran, military family member, and caregiver employees. CVI works closely with companies to multiply resources and opportunities for military-connected employees.
