The human-canine bond is the foundation of our organization. We utilize this bond to place amazing Service and Facility Dogs with their human partners. We support our dogs and teams for life. We honor the essence and personality of each dog in our organization.
Our dogs get to learn using positive reinforcement techniques, mature and grow into confident, happy, healthy dogs. As our dogs gain experiences, socialization and public manners we allow them to choose the type of work they prefer doing and excel at. Dogs that desire the close connection and one-to-one interactions are selected for our PTSD or Psychiatric Service Dog Program. Dogs that have energy and enjoy being busier are selected for our Hearing Dogs. The super social dogs with great temperaments are selected for our Professional Facility Dog Program. There are dogs that sometimes tell us they do not want to be working dogs and we honor that as well by finding them a great forever home. Our dogs get choice in their careers and enjoy their jobs.
After our dogs select the type of work they prefer - we take it a step further and allow our dogs to pick their person. Our dogs meet their perspective handlers during a one-to-one meeting. We look for that instant spark - the amazing human-canine bond that is formed naturally through a dogs connection with "their person"! These steps take time, but lead to outstanding success. When dogs get to choose their career and their person it leads to thriving teams that are better together because of each other.
Our Professional Facility Dogs are also allowed to pick the environment they work in and their handlers. We take each of our dogs to the organizations that they could work in. Dogs get to determine if they feel comfortable in the environment, types of clients they will work with and their handlers.
Deafinitely Dogs! provides thriving teams that have amazing success. Because we take the time to match our dogs to their career and their person/handler - we have a 100% success rate for our teams.
New in 2023, Deafinitely Dogs! is launching our Volunteer Therapy Dog Program. Once a bonded volunteer team passes our training and achieves certification they will become part of our Revive Therapy Teams. Our teams will visit schools, senior living centers, medical setting and Veteran Centers.
