We assist Veterans in navigating transition – that could mean exiting the military for the first time and starting a new chapter of life or it could mean finding a better job by going back to school and using your GI Bill. At times is also means ending a cycle of chronic homelessness or successfully starting a new life after a change. Each Veteran is on their own path with different goals and needs that also evolve over time. We are here to be the “Bridge” and connect them to the best possible resource to make sure their next step is a positive and successful one.
We serve Veteran and military families: any era, any branch, any age, and any discharge status. If you or a family member wore the uniform, we will work with you to identify your unique goals and find the appropriate resource in order to meet that goal. We will serve any family within a 68 county region in Northa and South Carolina or anyone interested in moving to this region.
Additionally, we serve the community. By acting as the bridge between the best local resources and the families that can benefit from them, we save the community time, energy, and money. Streamlining the navigation and referral process - whether to find a job, connect socially, or access a benefit - we ensure the right family finds the right resource more effectively and efficiently.
The number of Veteran and Military families VBH connects and serves continues to grow each year, highlighting the need in our community. VBH continues to lead the community towards making the Carolinas a national model of public-private partnerships that assist in transitioning our nation’s returning Veterans.
