Bees, Fowl & Flowers is developing a regional resilience campus that strengthens food security, education, and community support across South Texas. A key early phase of this buildout is the installation of our greenhouse complex: three 30×70 high‑tunnel structures that will provide year‑round growing capacity, hands‑on learning environments, and a reliable source of fresh produce for families and students.
These greenhouses form the operational core of our agricultural and educational mission. Once installed, they will provide:
Year‑round produce and seedling propagation to support food‑security programs
Dedicated instructional space for Mathis ISD field trips, STEM lessons, and agricultural education
Protected growing environments that allow consistent production regardless of weather
Support for our hybrid impact model, including donations of 30–50% of greenhouse‑grown produce
A foundation for long‑term sustainability, enabling both community support and limited sales to keep programs accessible
Hands‑on workforce and skills training for students interested in agriculture, horticulture, and environmental science
The greenhouse complex is the first major infrastructure step that allows BF&F to scale its mission. With these structures in place, we can immediately expand:
Fresh‑food distribution to families, veterans, and neighbors in need
Educational programming for MISD students
Seedling production for community gardens and local growers
Consistent, reliable output that supports both donation and sustainability goals
