Adopt A Grandparent Farmers Market Program - Fighting Food Insecurity for Senior Citizens

As seen on WGN TV our Adopt A Grandparent Garden & Farmers Market Program is back! This program provides fresh food and easy to grab snacks to our low income senior citizens and veterans who may be struggling with food insecurity.
Our gardens are planted and between what we grow and what is donated by the community (or purchased with your donations), we are able to set up FREE Farmers Markets right in the low income living facility's our seniors reside in.
Our nursing home seniors really look forward to this program. They are delighted to have access to fun snack foods for when they get a little craving. Our independent living senior citizens are grateful to have fresh foods to choose from, as grocery prices have gotten so high.
So many of our senior citizens have no family support and our programs are designed to support them, and remind them they are not alone or forgotten.
