Founded in 2007,by the Grace of God, we have distributed almost 1 million lovingly handmade knit and crocheted beanies to people with cancer diagnoses andtiny blankets to families offragile newbornsin incubators- for free!
Knots of Love warms the hearts and heads of those experiencing traumatic hair loss by knitting and crocheting beanies and tiny NICU blankets for fragile new lives. These beanies and blankets are provided to patients free of charge, directly, and at over 590 hospitals, VAs, infusion centers, and doctors offices. We hope for a day when our services will no longer be needed, but until then our recipients continually tell us that our beanies not only provide warmth as they go through treatment but also provide them an incredible amount of love, connection, and dignity during the most challenging time of their lives. We see it in thank you notes and letters from recipients of our hats and NICU blankets.... the gifts we provide go beyond the physical warmth and material style... the recipients of these gifts tell us how they are warmed and inspired because someone they've never met gave their time and love -- in a selfless act of loving-kindness.
Our organization currently donates over 2,000-4,000 free, premium, handmade beanies and NICU blankets every month.
All beanies & blankets are made by hand and given to recipients 100% FREE of charge.
For the privacy of the wearer, beanies and blankets have no Knots of Love branding after their "not for sale" and informational tags are removed by recipients.
Our organization is contacted daily by medical institutions, cancer patients, hopeful parents, family members, and friends from coast to coast to request beanies and blankets.
This requires tremendous logistical management by the organization, which solicits volunteers, responds to requests from medical centers, collect the beanies and blankets, carefully process them, package and ship them out weekly.
Undaunted, with eyes on Jesus, Knots of Love is an committed to serving The Lord and providing comfort, warmth, and love to patients, with a clear vision and passion for helping those who need what we are blessed to be able to provide.
