WALK ON THERAPEUTIC RIDING PROGRAM INC

Mission Statement: Walk ON Therapeutic Riding Programs, Inc. provides individualized horseback riding related to equine assisted activities and therapeutic riding instruction to children and adults with any physical, developmental, social, and emotional disabilities.

Walk ON Therapeutic Riding Programs, a 501 3 c non-profit, was established in 2001 to serve individuals with a disability to pursue the equine experience in a safe and fun manner. The staff works closely with the medical community to better ensure safe riding programs. Walk ON follows the guidelines of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International. Under the guidelines of a PATH Certified Instructor, Walk On uses the equine to promote Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies, including therapeutic riding, Horses for Heroes for Veterans, and Pony Pals, programming for kids with cancer. Walk ON serves a minimum of 28 riders per week with the assistance of trained volunteers.
