Providence at Home Hospice Foundation of Snohomish County

Providence at Home Snohomish County Hospice Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that accepts donations of cash and goods throughout the year allowing us to continue to assist in providing our patients with the highest standards of care possible. Some of our funding areas are listed below with a brief description of how donations are utilized.

Excellence of Care - gifts made to the Excellence of Care Fund allow us to offer a comprehensive range of services that include those programs that are undercompensated such as our volunteer program or pediatric bereavement programs.

Palliative Care Fund - This program provides “bridge” services and support for end-of-life patients and their families. The approach is innovative and simple, Hospice to reach out to families and caregivers of specific clinic patients identified with a life threatening or terminal illness 1-2 years prior to end of life to provide education, resources, and direction.

Carousel Pediatric Fund - Our Carousel Team provides comprehensive compassionate care to children needing home health, hospice, palliative or bereavement care. Support to this pediatric program makes a difference in so many lives of children in our community. This fund also supports two specialized pediatric bereavement services following the death of a loved one ~ The School Crisis team and Standing Together. These specialized programs proved to be imperative this past year in our community and were possible because of generous donations.

Camp Erin - A weekend bereavement camp for children ages 6-17. Started by Seattle Mariner Jamie Moyer and his wife Karen, the purpose of this bereavement camp is to improve the quality of life for children who have experienced a loss. Camp Erin is designed to gently teach coping skills and help build self-esteem and trust, while providing a relaxed, safe, healing environment for children to share their grief.
We Honor Veterans Fund - The We Honor Veterans Program is a national program. For many veterans, military experiences can impact peaceful dying - even if those events happened decades earlier. Stoic military culture, combat training or war itself can change a veteran in fundamental ways. Often emotional, spiritual, social and moral injuries resurface as they face death. We at providence Hospice and Home Care work with our caregivers to understand the unique needs of veterans as they age and face end-of-life issues. Providence Hospice's We Honor Veterans program includes: addressing veterans' unique end-of-life care needs; recognition pinning ceremonies; and veteran-to-veteran volunteers.

Hospice Fund - Hospice affirms life, yet recognizes that dying is a normal part of life. It exists to provide support and care for persons in the last phases of life so that they may live as fully & comfortably as possible. Funds are used for patient visits, equipment needs, supplies, medications, bereavement, respite care, palliative care, chaplaincy support, comfort care and charity care.

Dr. Knoll Hospice Care Endowment Fund - Your gift would be kept in perpetuity and invested with other endowment gifts. The earnings would be used each year to help defer deficit program costs and charity care that allows us to care for anyone in our community who needs hospice care.

Camp Erin Endowment Fund - Maintaining a high standard of service for grieving children is a priority. The Camp Erin Endowment Fund will enable the camp to operate into perpetuity. Your donations expand the potential for the future of Camp Erin by ensuring the future funding needed to operate this community service.
