Aerocade Music™️ is an independent record label seeking to add exciting, modern, and even revolutionary perspectives to the contemporary classical, experimental, and electronic music landscape. To achieve this goal, Aerocade almost exclusively represents West Coast musicians with dynamic backgrounds. Having gathered a deep artistic roster, Aerocade Music label is celebrated for “quality,” “superb programming,” and “first-rate performances”. (Fanfare Magazine)

Since its founding in 2015 by veteran contemporary flutist Meerenai Shim, Aerocade has released 16 projects. Aerocade believes that new music suffers not from an unequal talent pool but from unequal representation. Thus, the label's artists typically have backgrounds underrepresented in geography, demographics, or both.

In 2024, the assets of Aerocade Music LLC were donated to the newly formed not-for-profit corporation, Aerocade Music Inc. in order to better support and empower underserved independent emerging artists who lack the resources and connections needed to realize their artistic vision. Aerocade provides artists the resources to release and distribute their first full-length album while keeping the ownership rights to their master recording. All Aerocade Artists keep 100% of the revenue from sales.

Aerocade Music is for people who are interested in all kinds of music. Aerocade releases may be entirely modern Classical, completely electronic, a mix of experimental electroacoustic music, or a little bit of everything. For Artists
Aerocade Music is a label for independent artists who are ready to release their first full-length album but do not have the connections, resources, or experience to self-release or fund the entire project on their own. Typically, Aerocade Artists are American musicians living on the West Coast or in communities without many resources to support their projects.

Aerocade’s mission is to help artists help themselves. We hope that our artists will use Aerocade as a stepping stone to get further in their careers. We support artists by funding 100% of the cost of releasing the first album starting at the mastering phase. We will pay for mastering, PR, distribution, and manufacturing CDs. For their subsequent releases, artists can raise funds through a fiscal sponsorship via Aerocade.
