Redemption Hill Ranch exists to bring hope and healing to individuals facing mental health challenges, trauma, or chronic illness by connecting them with horses in a faith-based, therapeutic environment. We are committed to helping people rediscover their identity, regain their confidence, and realize they are not alone on their journey. Through equine-assisted therapy programs, we empower underdogs—from veterans and first responders to youth in crisis and cancer patients—to overcome fear and step into freedom.
Horses live in the moment and respond to authenticity. They sense heart rate, intention, and body language. They don't judge appearances or diagnoses. They don’t demand perfection. This makes them powerful facilitators for those who feel broken, misunderstood, or invisible. At Redemption Hill Ranch, horses are not tools—they are partners in the process of transformation.
Our sessions are intentionally designed to build trusting, safe, and empowering relationships between the participant, the horse, and the facilitator. We believe healing starts with connection, and that includes restoring the ability to feel safe in relationship with oneself and others. Each participant is matched with a consistent equine partner and receives individualized support tailored to their emotional and behavioral needs.
Participants grow in both horsemanship and life skills. They learn to work with a 1,000-pound animal through communication, patience, and respect—skills that naturally translate to everyday life. We incorporate hands-on horsemanship activities such as grooming, leading, and groundwork, which develop emotional regulation, boundaries, and confidence. These activities provide practical application for coping strategies such as deep breathing, grounding, and mindfulness. By working through challenges with the horse, participants begin to reframe their own internal struggles and discover new strength and resilience.
Our program includes measurable goals and regular progress monitoring. Each participant begins with an intake process that includes goal setting and a review of mental health, trauma history, or learning needs as appropriate. We utilize standardized assessments and other trauma-informed tools to track change in emotional regulation, interpersonal relationships, and self-concept. Progress is documented session by session through observation notes, reflection journals, and skill checklists. This structured approach allows us to demonstrate outcomes and tailor interventions to each individual’s progress.

We are a place where fear is met with courage, sorrow is met with grace, and silence is met with connection. A place where the weary find rest, the lonely find belonging, and the overlooked are truly seen.
