CSUN's Global HSI Equity Innovation Hub

With support from Apple, California State University, Northridge (CSUN) launched the Global HSI Equity Innovation Hub in 2021. At full capacity, the Hub will serve as a catalyst for Hispanic Serving Institution (HIS) programming nationwide and throughout California via the California State University (CSU) system- the largest and most diverse university system in the country.

By leveraging world-class technology and meaningful collaborations with educational, community, and industry partners, CSUN’s Global HSI Equity Innovation Hub facilitates connections across HSIs to activate the innovators and creators of the future in an effort to build a more inclusive and diverse workforce. Using a mix of on-site and virtual programming, CSUN’s Global HSI Equity Innovation Hub will reach students within the Los Angeles region, the local regions of our HSI partners, as well as around the globe through programming that focus on science, technology, engineering, mathematics and the arts. Students who experience the Hub programming will engage in creative and disruptive thinking that leverages technology to solve real-world problems in service to their communities.

By working with equity-minded global and national partners, our best practices will be scaled nationally, making CSUN’s Global HSI Equity Innovation Hub a model for accelerating equitable education.
