Tango del Corazon is a volunteer-based initiative to build local community through the culture and practice of Argentine Tango in far Northern California and Southern Oregon. Argentine tango is an expressive, heartfelt social dance rooted in deep connection and communication between partners and a shared love of music. As an art form, it is over a hundred years old and brings people together wherever it is practiced, from Buenos Aires to the foot of Mt Shasta, and provides cross-linguistic connections in almost every city in the world.
Our mission is to use tango to bring people of all ages and cultural backgrounds together, build cultural awareness and nonverbal communication skills, and provide safe spaces for connection through a shared love of this elegant and heartfelt social dance.
