The mission of the National Farm to School Network (NFSN) is to increase access to local food, gardens, and nutrition and agriculture education to improve children’s health, strengthen family farms, and cultivate vibrant communities. NFSN seeks profound transformation and positive change through farm to school programs in the ways kids eat, grow, and learn about food in schools and early care settings. Our unique, systems-change, community-driven approach advances our vision of a strong and just food system for all. NFSN’s core functions of connecting people to people, people to resources, and people to policy provides long-term solutions and catalyzes farm to school and early care strategies to be shared, communicated, and implemented across the nation. NFSN leads this work through a network of more than 500 partner organizations and over 20,000 network members spanning 50 states, the U.S. Territories, and sovereign nations.
