World AIDS Day at SFAF

op SAN FRANCISCO AIDS FOUNDATION

World AIDS Day began in 1988 as a day of solidarity for people around the world who are affected by HIV and for voices to unite by sharing experiences, remembering those lost, and standing together in the fight against HIV. While great strides have been made since the first known cases of AIDS were reported in 1981, the disease remains a public health challenge. World AIDS Day is an opportunity for individuals and communities to honor the more than 32 million people worldwide who have died from AIDS-related illness.

Your support helps the San Francisco AIDS Foundation achieve our vision for health justice without addressing the systems of oppression that create health disparities in our Black and brown communities, trans or non-binary, immigrants, or people who are LGBTQ+, all of whom may also be living with HIV. Your support helps us to provide a safety net of essential programs and services for people living with or at risk for HIV/AIDS.
