I'm producing/directing a documentary about Zachary Manago, a young man who was struck and killed by a motorist while riding his bike just weeks after writing a college essay on the need for bike lanes and safer riding conditions in his home state of Hawai'i. In telling Zach’s story, one aim of the film is to cause people to recognize the consequences of unsafe driving, while generating a groundswell of demand for safer, more complete streets for those who walk and bike.
