Infinite Cares of Love is looking to provide 100 bicycles to students between the ages of 8 to 11 (grades 3 - 5) at Ivey Lane Elementary School. Ivey Lane Elementary School serve grade levels kindergarten to fifth grade. The Bikes for Books program will help students to develop an enthusiasm for learning and the skills to become creative, independent readers. The students will gain greater comprehension, verbal fluency, and general knowledge. Ivey Lane Elementary School enrolls 87% economically disadvantaged students and the student population is made up of 43% female and 57% male students. Currently, the school's overall reading proficiency is 27%, which the reading performance is below expectations. In order to motivate the students to read and make it interesting at the same time, Infinite Cares of Love want to award the students with a bicycle, and bicycle helmet upon reading ten books over a twelve - week period of time.
