Human Resilience is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making healing, mindfulness, and emotional resilience accessible to every person—especially those who serve others and those facing financial hardship.
Founded on the belief that money should never be the barrier between someone and their wellbeing, Human Resilience provides high-quality, trauma-informed mind-body services on a sliding scale to individuals who often carry the greatest burdens with the fewest resources.
Through our partnership with SimplyAware Wellness & Training Center, we offer evidence-informed practices including mindfulness, Qigong, Tai Chi, breathwork, nervous system regulation, and trauma-responsive resilience coaching. These services support individuals in reducing stress, rebuilding balance, and cultivating long-term emotional and physical wellbeing.

Who We Serve
We stand in support of both those who serve and those who are underserved, including:
• Veterans and active-duty military processing the visible and invisible wounds of service
• First responders navigating high-stress, high-impact careers
• Healthcare workers experiencing burnout and compassion fatigue
• Teachers and educators who carry the emotional load of supporting students and communities
• Abuse and trauma survivors seeking gentle, steady pathways to recovery
• Seniors seeking balance, mobility, community, and connection
• Individuals who are financially vulnerable and would otherwise be unable to access holistic wellness support
Every person deserves access to healing. We exist to make that possible.
⸻
Our Mission
To provide equitable access to mindfulness-based, trauma-informed wellness programs that strengthen resilience, support recovery, and restore hope.
We believe resilience is not a trait—it’s a skill. With the right guidance, tools, and community support, anyone can learn to regulate the nervous system, reduce stress, and rebuild inner and outer stability.
⸻
Why Our Work Matters
Too many people who serve our communities—veterans, first responders, teachers, nurses—place themselves at risk emotionally, physically, and psychologically. Many do so quietly and without complaint, often while carrying trauma, exhaustion, or chronic stress.
At the same time, countless individuals facing financial hardship struggle to access even basic wellness services.
Human Resilience bridges this gap.
Our programs offer a compassionate, accessible pathway to:
• Reduced anxiety and stress
• Improved emotional regulation
• Better balance, mobility, and physical wellbeing
• Greater connection and community
• Healing after trauma
• Renewed purpose and self-confidence
These outcomes are not theoretical—we see them every day. Clients often share that their work with Human Resilience and SimplyAware “gave them back their life,” “helped them feel safe again,” or “offered hope when nothing else had worked.”
⸻
Our Approach
Human Resilience integrates trauma-informed methodology with accessible mind-body practices.
Our instructors are trained in working with individuals navigating trauma, chronic stress, PTSD, and nervous-system dysregulation. Sessions emphasize safety, slow progress, embodiment, and empowerment.
We specialize in:
• Mindfulness-based resilience training
• Trauma-responsive Qigong and Tai Chi
• Gentle movement and breathwork
• Somatic awareness practices
• Community-based healing programs
• One-on-one supportive coaching
• Adaptive wellness for seniors and mobility-limited individuals
Our goal is always the same: to meet people where they are and help them take the next step forward, at their own pace, in a supportive environment.
⸻
How We Make Services Accessible
Human Resilience offers a sliding-scale model because we believe that equitable access is essential to true community wellbeing.
Donor support allows us to provide:
• No-cost or low-cost classes for veterans, first responders, teachers, and healthcare workers
• Reduced-rate sessions for survivors of trauma or domestic violence
• Scholarships for individuals experiencing financial vulnerability
• Community programs that reach those with limited access to wellness resources
Every donation directly expands access to healing for someone who might otherwise go without support.
⸻
Our Impact
Human Resilience currently operates on an annual budget of approximately $25,000. With increased support, we hope to expand our programming and reach more individuals who need access to trauma-informed, mindfulness-based services.
Feedback from recipients includes:
• “I finally sleep through the night again.”
• “This program helped me reconnect with my body after trauma.”
• “I feel hopeful—truly hopeful—for the first time in years.”
• “As a veteran, I’ve tried everything. This is the first thing that actually helped.”
These stories reflect what we see across our programs: a return to balance, confidence, peace, and self-trust.
⸻
Our Vision
We envision a world where every person—regardless of background, history, or financial means—has access to tools that cultivate healing and inner strength. As we grow, we hope to expand:
• Free and low-cost trauma-informed classes
• Specialized programs for veterans and first responders
• Community outreach for underserved populations
• Online accessibility for individuals nationwide
• Training programs for professionals seeking to bring resilience practices to their own communities
Your support helps us bring this vision to life.
⸻
Why Partner With Human Resilience
Corporate and employee donors on the Benevity platform make it possible for us to reach more people who are struggling silently with stress, trauma, or financial barriers.
Your support contributes directly to:
• Mental health stabilization
• Trauma recovery
• Suicide prevention through connection and resilience
• Emotional and physical wellbeing
• Healthier communities and workplaces
Every contribution extends real, tangible healing to someone who needs it but cannot afford it.
⸻
In Gratitude
Human Resilience stands firmly in the belief that compassion, accessibility, and community change lives. Thank you for helping us ensure that those who serve—and those who have been underserved—receive the support, tools, and healing they deserve.
Together, we build resilience.
Together, we heal communities.
Together, we change lives.
