The Macomb County Winter Shelter will provide a warm, safe place to spend
the night during the cold winter months. Currently, the county has approximately 130
emergency shelter beds. Hundreds of individuals are turned away from shelters each
month due to no vacancy.

In the cold winter months the lack of emergency shelter beds threatens the lives of all living on the streets and in their vehicles. Through a partnership of churches and community leaders, the Macomb County Winter Shelter is dedicated to help our guests find warmth, food, friendship, and hope for a better future. We see the humanity and goodness in everyone who needs help.
Our What
The Macomb County Winter Shelter will provide overnight accommodations and daily food from 7pm - 7am starting in November through March. Guests will be accepted on a first come basis as capacity is limited. Guests are expected to arrive for intake between 7pm and 9pm. Late admissions are allowed only due to employment.
How to Help
Macomb County and the rest of the country find homelessness on the rise! People of all ages including seniors seek housing and food assistance this year. Please help us provide these supports by donating.
Core Policies
-Guests are to be treated with dignity, respect, and love at all times. Even during difficult times.
-The program is for adults only. No one under 18 years of age.
-Guests will be presented with guest rules. Guests will be discharged from the shelter for violation of these rules.
-No refusal policy, with the exception of individuals involuntarily exited during this season from the program, non-ambulatory, and/or dependent on others for their medical needs.
-Entering the program does not require identification.
-We shall not discriminate against anyone seeking assistance.
