Our mission is to raise money for veterans and their families who have paid the highest price. To also establish a Gold Star Family Memorial Monument in Aberdeen, SD in honor of the Families of Servicemen & Women who have sacrificed their lives while serving in the military. Demonstrate to Gold Star Families that their community cares and appreciates their sacrifice while also honoring the ultimate sacrifice paid by their Loved Ones. Educate the General Public about Gold Star Families enduring sacrifices and strengthen the community within itself through outreach events associated with the monument. Provide a location for inner peace and solace to all Gold Star Families. * The Old Cronies, Inc. organization has partnered with the WWF and the City of Aberdeen Park & Rec division to make this memorial monument possible. * Aberdeen's memorial will be the 3rd in the state, following the pathway of Sturgis and Sioux Falls SD. * The memorial will provide a permanent place for Gold Star Families to GATHER, REMEMBER, and just find COMFORT and PEACE and this monument will belong to them and their fallen Loved Ones.
Assist veterans & their families with daily needs, assist with ADA adjustments to their homes for daily living, holiday meals, daily meals, color guard escort for family and military branches as requested from American Legion, Patriot Guard, or VFW or other military family request. Donations to the Michael J Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home in Hot Springs, SD for their recreation fund that allows them to have cookouts, attend sport events, fishing, bingo, circus, gardening, ...
