Opportunity@Work is rewiring the U.S. labor market so that all workers are visible, valued, and able to earn to their full potential. More than 70M STARs—workers “Skilled Through Alternative Routes” such as military service, on-the-job learning, and community college—have developed the skills to succeed in higher-wage jobs but are systematically excluded by the “paper ceiling”: outdated degree screens, biased hiring, and false perceptions of talent.
